Group marches for human trafficking awareness

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Hundreds of people wearing black gathered in downtown West Palm Beach on Saturday.

They were raising awareness about human trafficking in Florida.

The "Walk For Freedom" event was organized by Christ Fellowship Church.

According to the Florida Department of Children and Families, the latest available numbers show human trafficking is on the rise in the state.

There were nearly 2,000 cases reported in 2016.
