Fatal semi crash on I-95 closes all southbound lanes in St. Lucie Co.

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — An overturned tractor-trailer Friday morning has closed all southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in St. Lucie County, killing at least one person.

The deadly wreck occurred just before the Crosstown Parkway exit 120 around 5:35 a.m.

Heavy delays are occurring in the area.

Chopper 5 flew over the area and spotted a substantial amount of debris strewn across the grassy area along the shoulder of the interstate.

The crash also downed at least one utility pole.

Alternate Route

Drivers should exit at St. Lucie West Boulevard then go west to Southwest California Boulevard. Then take Southwest Savona Boulevard to Gatlin Boulevard to I-95 southbound.
