(WFLX) - Online auction and classified sites, like eBay and Craigslist, have been around for quite some time. But, now, a new site is gaining attention for saving its users big bucks.

The Web site is called DFWBid.com. It's an online auction site offering 50, 60 and even 90-percent discounts on items, like gift cards, and electronics, like Nintendo DS and iPods.

To join an auction, you buy credits for $1 each. The transaction is processed through PayPal's secure network, and the bidding is free.

Over the weekend, we spotted gift cards from Macy's, Target and CVS on the auction block. Users say they're blown away by the savings. "It's competitive. It's fun. You can win gift cards for $50 for a penny. It's just amazing."

The auctions are active from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. each day.
