(WFLX) - If you are shopping online, now there is a way to put some of that cash back in your pocket. "This is a time where people are always looking for you know to make extra money," said Web site founder Frank Deblasi.
Giving you cash back for shopping is the whole idea behind the Web site, HooplaDoopla.com. "They can go on the site, shop any of their top favorite companies that they normally shop at on a daily basis. We feature the latest discount on all these companies. Plus, we offer cash back in the addition of their discounts that they are already getting."
Like 1 percent cash back at Apple, 5.6 percent at Target, and 3 percent cash back at places like Drugstore.com and 1.800.FLOWERS. There is hundreds of cash back deals at lots of places you may already shop. "We should have easily 500 companies in the next month."
So getting money back sounds great, but how does it work?
Frank Deblasi and Tom Kangly are co-founders of the site, and, they say, it is easier than you think to make the cash flow back to you. "That's what we are kind of letting out of the bag. So, we said, 'You know what, we are getting the commission and now is the time and effort to give back.'"
Like most Web sites you click around on, Hoopla Doopla gets a referral commission when you click from their site to another site to shop. The difference here is you actually see some of the cash for the referral come back to you. "We split that commission with our users; we give it to them in the form of cash back."
So, for instance, if you went to the Hoopla Doopla site and clicked through to Target to do some shopping. If you spend $200, you would get over $11 cash back.
