PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (WFLX) -- A Palm Beach Gardens man is behind bars, charged in connection with the grisly killing of a missing man.

Police arrested 39 year-old Daniel Lee Alexander and booked him into the Palm Beach County Jail early Tuesday morning, charging him with homicide.

Authorities have connected Alexander to the disappearance and killing of 39 year-old Robert Harrison, according to a sargeant with the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department.

Harrison's body was found dismembered and shoved into a plastic bin, which was found in a wooded area near Pratt-Whitney Road and the Beeline Highway, according to our newspartners over at the Palm Beach Post. Investigators were led there on Monday night.

Harrison was reported missing in mid-January after his family hadn't heard from him in about a week. Harrison's roommate said he last saw Harrison drive away in a dark-colored sport utility vehicle with a woman, but hadn't seen him since.

Harrison had inherited a large amount of money right before he went missing, police said in March.
