By Chuck Weber email

WEST PALM BEACH (WFLX)-You can now help local parents grieving the death of their 12-year old son. A bank account has been set up to help the family of Julio Chirino pay for funeral expenses.

Julio was hit and killed by an SUV as he rode his bike to school Tuesday morning. It happened at the busy intersection of Summit Boulevard and Military Trail near West Palm Beach. Police say the driver of the SUV had a green light. She has not been charged.

The boy's death has sparked an outpouring of grief from the community. Even people who did not know Julio have left flowers and balloons at a makeshift memorial at the accident site.

Relatives and friends say Julio's parents are out of work and will have trouble paying funeral costs. The account is set up at Washington Mutual Banks in the name of Julio Chirino, account number 344 370 03778.
