DELRAY BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Over the weekend, Delay Beach hosted the biggest arts and crafts fair in the county.

From painters to mouth watering food to constant live entertainment, the Delray Affair featured more than 700 booths for people to enjoy along Atlantic Avenue.

The economy had many people worried that the street festival wouldn't draw as big a crowd as in the past.

But, this year, not even light pocketbooks stopped a quarter of a million from coming. In fact, The Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce tells us they actually increased in the number of vendors this year with more artists signing up than ever before.

Artist Eileen Seitz said unlike other festivals, the Delray Affair offers only high quality art at prices everyone can afford. "Between the jewelers, the painters, the crafters, there's such a variety regarding anything that you need in the world."

We're told even with the economic decline, most people who came to the festival did actually buy art.

Now, if you missed the Delray Affair but still want to check out the art featured, you can always call the Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce at 561-278-0424.
