JUPITER, FL (WFLX) - Instead of teaching in the classroom, 29-year-old Geneva Henry was in a courtroom learning about the charges brought against her. The disgraced Jupiter teacher is accused of sending sexual text messages to a 14-year-old student.

Among the alleged messages:

  • "I want to rip all of your clothes off and have sex with you to the point of ecstasy."
  • "I want to kiss you all over."
  • "I want to have sex with you."

Accusations that must have been tough for her husband to hear, but Matthew Henry sat in court anyway as his wife of eight years stood in handcuffs before a judge.

He later expressed support for the mother of his three children. "These are merely allegations, and I'm in full support of my wife. I look forward to this being resolved."

Henry's attorney, Heidi Perlet, told the Palm Beach Post the English teacher, who quit the school after the allegations surfaced, is bipolar, and points out, the student was never sexually touched. "Well, the allegations are that there were some inappropriate text messaging, but it appears there may have been a crush by the student on my client."

If found guilty, Henry could face up to 15 years in prison and would have to register as a sex offender. Her attorney believes that's way to severe if no sexual acts ever occurred.
