MIAMI (WFLX) - The steamy pictures of a South Florida priest and a mysterious woman on Miami Beach are now on newsstands.

Father Cutie, is no where to be found. The popular priest has been removed from his church because of the brewing scandal.

A growing number of people, however, are saying he should not be punished for breaking a vow of celibacy. On Thursday about 100 parishioners chanted, "We love Padre Alberto," to show support for their disgraced priest.

Father Alberto Cutie can no longer hold mass at his Miami Beach church. His reputation ruined because of risque photos that hit newsstands Thursday.

Parishioner Vanessa Loriga said, "My entire family was looking forward to me getting married here. He was going to marry me, and now he's not here."

The pictures in the TV Notas magazine now sparking a new debate: Should priest be allowed to have sex? "We all make commitments. Sometimes, we fail at those commitments, It doesn't mean our commitments are bad. It just means we are human."

Father Thomas Williams says the vow of celibacy should not be thrown out because of one man's sin. "All of us are sinful. All of us need forgiveness, and we should be forgiving of others, as well."

But those angry enough to protest Thursday disagree saying times have changed and the church should change, as well. "He's human. He feels like we do. He should have the rights to have a family," Loriga said.

Others say Cutie deserves to be punished for failing his congregation and his word to God. "He took an oath to the church. He made a vow of celibacy. He knew what he was getting himself into," said parishioner member Patricia.

As of now, the church is not talking. But it's likely Father Cutie will be back in public soon. As Father Thomas Williams just said, 'We all need forgiveness'.
