Two men returning home from a night of fishing in the Intracoastal Waterway were  attacked and robbed at gunpoint by a group of teens, or young men in Boynton Beach Monday night.

Rutilo Perez, 38,  showed us the wounds on his elbow, after he and an elderly friend, Surpecio Luna, 77, were attacked by a group of juveniles.

It happened about 10:30 Monday night near the corner of NE 4th Street and NE 15th Avenue, as Perez and the older guy were heading home after doing some fishing. Perez was on a bicycle, the older man was walking. They were heading for Luna's apartment.

Perez spoke to us through an interpreter.

"I was coming here with my bicycle and eight  people was coming over and attacked us and uh, with a gun. And they stole my bike and my wallet, my watch. I was hit with a gun in my head because I was trying to fight back.  They throw me on the floor and I was on the floor while they were kicking me and punching me," Perez said.   He was knocked unconscious.

They stole Perez' bike, and both men's wallets, cell phones and wrist watches.  Police say the value of the possessions and cash was about $300.  The attackers are described as black males, possibly juveniles, dressed in black.

Boynton Beach Police say they do not have any reports of any other similar attacks in that area.
