Patricia Crow founded the Visiting Nurse Association in April 1976 after people in the local community spoke about the need for a home health agency in the area. Crow began the VNA in a 600-square foot office in downtown Stuart. Now, the VNA is housed in a 30,000 square foot building located on Monterey Road in Stuart. Crow retired in 1998 after working at the VNA for 23 years. She currently serves as a board member and works in the office twice a week.
