Parvo outbreak in Palm Beach County

Posted by Rachel Leigh - email

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - An animal disease outbreak is striking all of Palm Beach County.

Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control euthanized 60 cats and more than 25 dogs in the last few days because they were sick with Parvo. So many sick animals have been brought to the shelter, they're beginning to quarantine certain areas and are using bleach to disinfect everything.

All dogs and cats should be vaccinated as babies and get yearly boosters. You should check your records carefully to make sure your animal is up to date with all the shots and boosters.
