JUPITER, FL (WFLX) - Two Ranger Construction workers are dead after being hit by a car while paving a road in Jupiter.

Around 12:30 a.m., Jupiter Police officers responded to a traffic crash with injuries that occurred on Alternate A1A just north of the Three Palms Plaza. At the time of the crash, the northbound right lane was shut down and Ranger Construction workers were on scene completing a road re-surfacing project.

Police are saying a blue Toyota Solara convertible was traveling north on Alternate A1A and struck three workers from the construction crew and another vehicle. Two of the workers were pronounced dead at the scene and one was transported to Jupiter Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The female driver of the Toyota Solara and the male driver of the Toyota Camry were not injured.

There is an ongoing investigation with the Jupiter Police Department.
