WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX)-A Royal Palm Beach man is accused of driving drunk, taking off from one crash, only to get into another. The second crash was deadly. Wednesday a judge ordered the man, Tracy Klinedinst, held without bond.

Prosecutors and family and friends of crash victim John Serratore had gathered in court hoping for just such an outcome. "For John, I am so happy," said Andrea Serratore, widow of the crash victim. "He was everything. He just was. The worst thing is this wasn't really an accident. This was a murder. He killed my husband."

Klinedinst is charged with DUI manslaughter and eight other counts. The crash happened Saturday at the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Lamstein Lane in Royal Palm Beach.

Traffic investigators say Klinedinst ran a red light, plowed into Serratore's van, then took off. Sheriff's deputies say at the time of the crash, Klinedinst was fleeing another crash that happened moments earlier a few miles away. In the arrest report, deputies say Klinedinst appeared to be impaired and became combative when asked for blood.

"He was so strong and so muscular, yet so soft and gentle," said Annette White, describing her father, Serratore. "He would do anything for us."

Serratore's funeral is set for Friday.
