Authorities Say Drowning not Suspicious

Boca Raton, FL (WFLX)

New information tonight on the West Boca Raton woman found dead in her swimming pool. Police now say it appears to be an accident.  The autopsy results on the woman who was found floating in her backyard pool yesterday morning show that she had no injuries.

And the sheriff's office says the case is not considered to be suspicious at this point.

The body of the 49 year old woman was found floating face down in the pool behind her home on Summertrace Circle a little after 9 Monday morning.

Sheriff's investigators say she had been dead for two days and the body was found by lawn care workers who came to mow the yard.

They say they have interviewed the woman's boyfriend, who has been cooperative.

They say he was not at the house and they can account for his whereabouts from Saturday morning until Sunday morning. He was actually sitting in jail, on a charge of driving on a suspended license.

A sheriff's spokesman says the drowning could be an accident, because again there are no signs of injuries.  They have not yet released her name because they're waiting on dental records to confirm her identity due to the decomposed condition of the body.
