JUPITER, FL (WFLX) - Over the weekend, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre hosted the sixth annual Palm Beach Idol. Eighty tried out, but only 24 made it to Jupiter.
The performers' talents -- ranging from dancing, singing even a little harmonica playing -- wowed the panel of celebrity judges, including Yours Truly, with their powerful vocal cords and smooth moves.
After the 24 performed, the top three in each category were announced by emcees Mo and Sally from KOOL 105.5. That's when the house lights went up as audience members received ballots to decide who would be crowned as the next Palm Beach Idol.
It was the adorable Emily Rynasko who won the youth category, Brittany Gazdacko took the victory in the teen category, and Andrew Boss earned first place in the adult category.
Palm Beach Idol supports the Maltz's Conservatory of Performing Arts, a program for the serious theatre student.
