A Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy has been fired for his actions at a bar in suburban West Palm Beach.

Deputy Oscar Maturana, 26,  was fired last month.

He had been with the sheriff's office since January 2007.

Internal Affairs found that Maturana violated department policy when he was off-duty last December at a bar called "la Isla Del Encanto" on south Military Trail.

Maturana pulled a gun and threatened to shoot patrons and security personnel at the bar, and was arrested for aggravated assault. The charges against Maturana were later dropped.
