Radio show personality arrested, accused of fondling boy

(WFLX) Radio producer Steve Brancik of the Paul and Young Ron morning show on Big 105.9 will be noticeably absent from the air.

The 42-year-old was charged with 4 felony counts of lewd or lascivious molestation involving a person 12 to 16 years of age.

According to a Broward County Police report, over the span of two years Brancik intentionally touched or kissed a boy on four separate occasions; the first incident allegedly occurred when the boy was only 12.

He is also accused of fondling him at a hot tub at the boy's home in Deerfield Beach.

Brancik has been fired from the Clear Channel owned station in Miramar.

When asked about Brancik's arrest, radio host Paul Castronovo issued the following statement.

"I'm thinking about possible victims and families and it's hard for me not to talk about things because I'm a talk show host. But because of legalities, I have no comment on the situation right now."

A Miami tv reporter tried to get him to comment at his home but he shut the door on her face.

Clear Channel Miami's president Brian Olson released the following statement:

"I can confirm that he is no longer with the station. Beyond that, I have nothing else to share."

Brancik was arrested but has since been released from the Broward Jail on $43,500 bond.
