Dementia linked to too much sleep

(WFLX) - According to the results of a new study, too much sleep may take a toll on your brain.

Researchers found older adults, who slept nine or more hours each day including naps, were about twice as likely to develop dementia as those who slept for seven hours.

Experts note the findings only show an association between longer sleep and dementia. They do not prove extra hours in bed contribute to mental decline.
