EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The Evansville Police Department and Indiana State Excise Police arrested 89 people at a party Saturday night.
EPD was dispatched to a house on East Lincoln just before midnight.
Officers were told there were complaints of a "loud, underage party" at a residence.
When officers arrived, many underage youth fled inside the residence, officers said.
While investigating the party, youth were found hiding in all areas of the house, including closets, underneath beds, and in the basement, officers said.
Officers said they also found a note on the back door that read "If the COPS come, have all the underage hide in the attic."
After speaking with an adult resident, officers accessed the attic and found over 80 youth hiding in the area, according to a news release.
Most of those arrested were University of Evansville students.
In all, 88 minors and one adult were ticketed and released to appear in court.
