PORT ST LUCIE, FL (WFLX) - The Northport Middle School in Port St. Lucie was briefly evacuated Tuesday afternoon after someone found a note saying a bomb would go off.

An adult found the note written on a tile in a bathroom that a bomb would go off at 3 p.m.

The principal called police, and the school was evacuated for 20 minutes. Police then did a sweep of the building, but didn't find anything. The school was given the all clear, and students were able to return.

Parents will receive a note sent home with students to let them know what happened.
