WEST BOCA, FL (WFLX) - The family of a West Boca cheerleader, who died while undergoing reconstructive breast surgery, is suing the girl's doctors.

Eighteen-year-old Stephanie Kuleba suffered from an extremely rare genetic condition called malignant hyperthermia. It causes the body temperature to spike under anesthesia.

Although, the medical examiner ruled her death an accident. We've just learned the family filed a lawsuit against the doctors. The family claims the doctors weren't prepared to handle the situation.

Both doctors have defended their actions.
