WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX)-A character actor on Spanish-language television is behind bars in Palm Beach County, accused of sending child porn over the Internet. Friday Adonis Losada made his first court appearance on 30 counts of transmitting child pornography. The judge set his bail at $3 million.

Losada appeared just last week on "Mi Pueblo TV," a Spanish-language channel in West Palm Beach. He dressed as an old woman during the channel's morning show.

Losada is best known for his work on the long-running Saturday night variety show, "Sabado Gigante," on the Univision national network. The show is recorded in Miami, and Losada lives in Miami Beach.

But it was undercover officers with Palm Beach County's sexual predator enforcement unit, who made the case against Losada. "They came across Mr. Losada online," explained Assistant State Attorney Greg Schiller, who's part of the sexual predator unit. "He was chatting with them. He transmitted images of child pornography, some of the images being of children less than two years old. They're extremely graphic."

As part of the same investigation, Losada also faces charges in Miami-Dade County for images police say they found on Losada's home computer. And prosecutors say police in California were conducting a similar investigation of Losada.

For that reason, and because Losada was picked up in Georgia, prosecutor Schiller asked Judge Ted Booras to set bail at $5 million. Judge Booras settled on $3 million.
