SS cards found in Palm Springs' dumpster

PALM SPRINGS, FL (WFLX) - People's social security cards, driver's license copies, and personal files were found in a dumpster for all to see.

A waitress at Newport Cafe in Palm Springs found the files. They had been dumped by someone at a nearby business called CLP. That's off the corner of Congress and Forest Hill.

The regional director, Seth Sandler, showed up to collect the files and wouldn't say much about what the company thought happened. He did say the staffing company has policies in place to properly dispose of files, and the company will be conducting an internal investigation to figure out what happened.

The police department is not filing any charges as of now. They would have to be able prove criminal intent.
