PBCC student attacked at gunpoint

LAKE WORTH, FL (WFLX) - College students are urged to be extra cautious on campus Monday following an armed hold-up in the parking lot.

Students at Palm Beach Community College were notified by e-mail a female student was robbed by a crook with a gun. It happened in a parking lot at the main campus in Lake Worth.

Last week, a student at PBCC was attacked and robbed at gunpoint during the day. It wasn't reported until the next day, and students just got an e-mail this weekend.

Students say this worries them that someone can just get attacked that easily during the day and wonder if there's enough security being put in place at the school.

Some plan to address their concerns at an open forum for all students Tuesday afternoon. This forum happens every semester, and students are able to discuss whatever concern they may have. The foum is Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the CE building room 119.
