JUPITER, FL (WFLX) - Need help getting a job, but can't get to a job placement center, or do you find the computers at local libraries are always busy?

Workforce Alliance is bringing its resources closer to where you live.

They've started a month-long effort to bring their mobile units to various library branches throughout Palm Beach County. Monday was the first day of the new program. They were in Jupiter.

The mobile units offer computers with Internet access, so you can check job openings, and they've got a counselor in the van who will help update and prepare your resume.

"In light of the current economic climate that we're in, we want to be sure that we're reaching as many people as we can," said Vicky Jackson, Workforce Alliance communications manager.

She says another reason they're doing this is that people, who are out of work, may not have a lot of money for gasoline to drive to a job placement center and may find it easier to go to a neighborhood library closer to home.

Workforce Alliance will be taking their mobile units to libraries from now until mid-November.
