PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (WFLX)-- An estimated 800 parents have descended on the Palm Beach County school district headquarters near West Palm Beach. They hope to be heard during a regularly scheduled school board meeting.
Standing along Forest Hill Boulevard all afternoon, parents are chanting, wearing orange and toting protest signs.
Parents are concerned that recent curriculum changes have their children doing more tests and not enough learning.
Teachers have complained about the new program as well.
The school district says the embedded assessments help teachers gage a students progress throughout the year.
