Portable DVD players

AP -- Glance around an airplane these days, and you may well see someone using a portable D-V-D player.
Portable D-V-D players are those small, laptop-looking devices that let you watch a movie -- or anything on D-V-D -- anywhere.
Jeff Samuels of Panasonic says they're increasingly popular, apparently because so many travelers also have D-V-D players at home.
Samuels says the picture on portable D-V-D players is impressive because they're dedicated to one job only, unlike a computer screen.
They come in a number of sizes, from nine inches to as small as three inches. They're not cheap, but the nine-inch models have fallen to about 700 dollars.
