PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (WFLX) - Waterway patrons in Palm Beach Gardens receive a real treat Thursday afternoon: an intimate concert by American Idol alumnus Jason Castro.

Castro's first single, "Let's Fall in Love Again", already a hit with fans.

Jason says the song was inspired by a personal experience. "There's always a special someone out there. All the songs on the album are very personal to me."

Jason's kept himself busy since American Idol, performing up to three times a day to promote his debut album due out in January.

Despite never meeting most of the contestants from past seasons, Jason holds an unique connection. "You feel like you have an insider perspective, but it's kind of the same. It's all the same challenge. I just feel like I know what they're going through."

"Were you surprised by the way it turned out - with Kris winning?" Rachel asked.

"I think Kris deserved to win."

One thing that did catch Jason off guard is the change in judges. "I was shocked by it. I'm going to miss Paula, but I think it'll be ok."

"What do you think of Ellen?" Rachel asked.

"I think it'll be interesting. First, I wasn't sure. But after I started thinking about it, I think she kind of represents the people's choice."
