Student carjacked outside Boynton restaurant

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (WFLX) - A 21-year-old woman out celebrating her friend's birthday, became a carjacking victim outside the Boynton Beach Ale House.

She reported, "I see him running toward me. That's when I'm trying to get in the car, lock the door."

The 21-year-old female wants to remain anonymous. She continues, "and then he just jerked open the door. And then he started punching me, grabbed my purse, and then he grabbed my shirt and threw me out of the car. I mean, I weigh 110. I mean, come on, he's bigger than me."

The attacker drove off leaving her there. Fortunately she had no money in her purse, but her parents had just bought her the car to replace another that died. "I hope he's happy now. He had nothing. 1995 Acura, are you serious? There were nicer cars around me."

Monday afternoon police recovered the 95 Acura. At least now the young woman has her transportation back.

This young college student warns people to be cautious this holiday season saying, "I'm glad I'm still here. I'm glad I'm still breathing. You know it's holidays I just want everybody to be aware, be on your p's and q's, because people are out there lurking."

Police are still looking for the carjacker. The victim says he was wearing a mask and gloves on each hand, as well as a black shirt and khaki pants.
