Body found in Boca

BOCA RATON, FL (WFLX) - Police found a woman dead inside her ex-boyfriend's house, and they believe she had been dead for a while.

Police say they found the body of 46-year-old Pamela Powers, murdered. Her ex-boyfriend, Christopher Sharpe, now faces first degree murder charges. People close to the victim say the couple had a turbulent past.

Powers' roommate, Luis Ospina, reported she had a restraining order against the suspect. He also says that Powers felt the need to help her ex-boyfriend, because he was having a tough time.

He first reported his roommate missing on Monday. The last time he saw her was the night before Halloween when she told him she was going to a party.

Police say it's possible that Powers had been dead for weeks left inside Sharpe's home. They found her body late Tuesday night and arrested Sharpe. Investigators say there were obvious signs her body had been there for a while.

Police also tell us they've responded to several domestic violence calls in the past at that same house.

Several neighbors say they saw several brutal fights between Powers and her ex-boyfriend. "She's come to my house at three o clock in the morning, knocking on the door, asking for help on several occaisions. They've picked him up at lot of times. I don't know why it had to get to this point," reports one of the neighbors.

Christopher Sharpe remains in the Palm Beach County jail on first degree murder charges.
