Sunday school theme park

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (WFLX) - Christ Fellowship in Palm Beach Gardens is changing the way churches around the county think about kids and church. Their new facility, just for kids, is the size of a Walmart and just as amazing as a theme park.

There are countless flat screens, an amazing puppet stage, two-story slide, and it even snows. Pastor Todd Mullins says, "Why shouldn't church be the most fun a kid gets to go to in a given week?"

Pastor Mullins helped design what's called "God's Town". It's a 30-thousand-square-foot village made up of store fronts like; The Creator's Studio, Soul Station, and even the Five Loaves and Two Fish gift shop.

Also included is Noah's Arkade, two-stories packed full of fun with everything from fuzeball to hockey and several gaming systems including the Wii. All of this used before and after the services. This is where the parents meet up with their kids and they have just as much fun.

And for something more peaceful, there's Praiseway Park. It may look like a miniature Disney World, but Pastor Mullins says all of the bells and whistles do not distract from the message.

In fact the church's message is all around. Pastor Mullins comments, "There is so much out there that is competing with their attention and devotion and we wanted their attention on things that have eternal significance."

Like a regular sunday school, the kids are separated by age. Kindergartners go to the Soul Station, 1st through 3rd go to GK Studios and 4th and 5th graders hang out in the Nitro. It's a half-lounge, half-hip studio. These facilities are one of a kind and are getting national attention.

Pastor Mullins continues, "We've got churches coming in all over and they are wanting to replicate it for the kids."

The snow falling is just for the holidays, but there is a 100% chance of snow through the month of December. If you want to check out God's Town, Christ Fellowship is holding a Christmas party Friday the 11th starting at 6 PM.
