Mammograms may cause cancer

(WFLX) - New, startling, research shows mammograms may actually increase the risk of breast cancer in some high-risk women.

Researchers looked at six studies. They examined low radiation from mammography in women with genes prone to cancer and exposure in women with a family history of the disease.

Women exposed before twenty-years of age or more than five times, were two-and-a-half times more likely to get breast cancer.
