Crist takes active roll in Tebow's future

JACKSONVILLE, FL (WFLX) - He was crying on the sidelines after the Gator's crushing loss to Alabama over the weekend, but now the governor of Florida is taking an active roll in Tebow's future football career.

Charlie Crist is talking with the owners of the Jacksonville Jaguars, urging them to make it a priority to snag Tebow during the NFL draft next April.

It's not because the governor is such a fan, but he sees it as a financial opportunity.

About 17 thousand fans decided not to renew their season tickets this year, leaving 30 thousand seats empty during Sunday's game.

Since Tebow is from Jacksonville, Crist believes people will pack the stands to see him play in the NFL.
