I-95 reopens lanes after tractor trailer fire

PORT ST LUCIE, FL (WFLX) - All lanes of Northbound I-95 are now open.

Update, FRI 4 PM: All lanes were shut down Friday morning after fire damaged the bridge at the St. Lucie West overpass.

The fire started in a trailer hauling tires, and burned so hot some pieces of concrete fell from the overpass.

Drivers are encouraged to use the Florida Turnpike as a detour.  I-95 southbound lanes are not affected.

Previously: Northbound lanes of I-95 are shut down at the St. Lucie West overpass due to a fire that has damaged the bridge.

Drivers are encouraged to use the Florida Turnpike as a detour.  It is expected the bridge will be closed through Friday.

I-95 southbound lanes are not affected.
