Deputies find 144 pot plants in Ft. Pierce grow house

FORT PIERCE, FL (WFLX) - They did their best to conceal it, but their efforts weren't good enough. St. Lucie deputies shutdown a marijuana grow operation worth about $2 million a year Wednesday.

Detectives found 144 pot plants in this home on Grovers Way in Fort Pierce. The homeowner even altered the wiring to bypass the electrical meter, so they could hide the fact that they were using large amounts of electricity.

Two men are now behind bars: Orlen Vasquez, who lived in the home, and Julio Cesar, who owned it.
