Autopsy: Kite boarder died of blood loss

A 38-year-old kite boarder died of blood loss, said an expert from the University of Florida who reviewed his autopsy report.

Stephen Schafer, avid outdoorsman, apparently died of blood loss after suffering two shark bites, likely from the same shark, according to the expert.

Schafer died Wednesday despite efforts by rescue workers to save his life.

Friends and family are expected to gather Saturday at 11 a.m. for a memorial on the beach -- the same shortline where Shaefer was attacked Wednesday.
