BOCA RATON, FL (WFLX) - The parents of a Lynn University student missing since the earthquake in Haiti said Wednesday their daughter's body has been identified.
The family of Courtney Hayes sent dental records and a DNA sample to be matched with bodies found in the rubble of the Hotel Montana.
Hayes is one of six students and faculty members who went missing after the quake. The Lynn group traveled to Haiti with the non-profit Food for the Poor.
On the social networking site Facebook, mourners left a string of messages and prayers for Hayes and her family.
"Courtney paid the ultimate price to help God's children who were in need," wrote Stacey Stroud Clark. "May her service never be forgotten. May Courtney's family find peace and comfort during this most difficult time."
