Family searching for beloved pet

Bella Whitman, 6, is mourning the loss of her beloved Pug, Hercules.

"I was sad this morning, I was sad yesterday, I was sad before. I am sad every single, single, single, single day," Bella said.

Hercules, 5, went missing Wednesday after Bella's father, Ryan, pulled into a Valero gas station at Northlake and Military trail to get a bottle of water. Ryan Whitman left the door of his truck open because his dog is trained to never get out of the truck unless he's told to.

But this time, the dog vanished.

Ryan Whitman believes someone swiped Hercules, who has a tan body,  black face, black floppy ears,  curly little tail, and a tongue that hangs out the right side of his mouth. He's been at the local pound, posted ads on the Palm Beach Post and Craigslist. But Hercules remains missing.

"And I love my doggy and I want him to come home," Bella said.

The family is offering a reward to the person that turns little Hercules in.

Anyone with information is asked to call Ryan Whitman at (561)-262-2475.
