Memorial planned for Lynn University students

Almost two weeks after crews found the remains of the last missing person from Lynn University in Haiti, the school announces a memorial service.

A group of 14 people were on a mission trip in the country when the earthquake hit last month.  Eight people made it out alive.  Six others, including four students and two professors, did not. The remains of Stephanie Crispinelli from New York, Courtney Hayes from Georgia, Christine Gianacaci from Hopewell, New Jersey, Dr. Patrick Hartwick, Dean of the Ross College of Education, and Dr Richard Bruno, assistant professor in the College of Liberal Education, were all found a few weeks ago.

On Friday, March 12, Lynn University will hold a memorial to honor those who died in the quake.  The service will take place at 2 p.m. in the school's gym.  Doors will open at 1 p.m., with seating on a first-come, first-serve basis.  An overflow viewing area will be available.

All Lynn University classes will be canceled that day as well.
