Eighty plus cats rescued from PSL home

More than 80 cats, found in bad shape, were rescued from a Port St. Lucie home according to Animal Care and Control officers. They are now at the St Lucie County Humane Society.

Police say the cats were found Tuesday afternoon on Ronlea Court. Inside, officers found cats everywhere -- in air vents and all over furniture.

But that's just the beginning. "The house they were living in there had human feces, cat feces and cat urine -- just covering the house, just some disgusting conditions," David Roberson, with the humane society said.

Also, some more sad news, four kittens that were rescued didn't make it through the night.  The humane society says the surviving cats should be ready for adoption by the end of the week.
