Dr. Kirsten Love graduated from veterinary school at the University of Minnesota in 2003. She is originally from Colorado and completed her undergraduate studies at Colorado State University. She practiced at a 24- hour referral/emergency veterinary hospital in Toledo, Ohio for three years and then moved to practice in Columbus, Ohio for another two years.
Her husband got a great job offer in Florida and they moved here in 2008. Dr. Love's special interests lie in Avian and Exotic Veterinary Medicine in which she loves to work with fish, reptiles, birds, rabbits and ferrets. She also recently completed the International Veterinary Acupuncture Association Course and uses this alternative therapy to treat animals at the practice. At home, Dr. Love has three tarantulas, one red- tailed boa, one dog and three cats. Her pet tarantulas and snakes are also part of outside demonstrations and discussions that Dr. Love has done to educate the public about various animals.
