DEERFIELD, FL (WFLX) - An update on the Broward teenager, who was nearly beaten to death at school.

Doctors tried to bring 15-year-old Josie Lou Ratley out of her coma, but had to reversed course when she got a high fever. Doctors quickly put her back into the medically induced coma.

The family will hold a news conference Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the hospital to update Josie's condition. A 15-year-old boy is charged with brutally beating Ratley at a Deerfield beach middle school bus stop over a text message about his dead brother.
