WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - The results are in, and there's a new replacement for former Congressman Robert Wexler.

Democrat Ted Deutch won in a landslide over Republican Edward Lynch and Independent Jim McCormick.

With all precincts reporting, Deutch took 64 percent of the vote.

We spoke with the congressman-elect after the victory, and he essentially sent a promise to voters telling them he'd help break through typical Washington politics. "I want to go work for the citizens of this district, and go up to Washington, be their voice, and standup for them on the issues that really matter."

Congressman-elect Deutch will represent District 19 which stretches from the western area of West Palm Beach all the way into Northern Broward County.
