Hygiene items needed for Haitian students

By Althea Paul - email

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (WFLX) - One local organization is part of a week-long push to get needed items to hundreds of Haitian students in our area.

The United Way of Palm Beach County is asking for people to donate hygiene kits. It's all to help students who came here to live with family members after an earthquake devastated Haiti back in January.

United Way officials are asking for the following items:

  1. Toothbrush
  2. Toothpaste
  3. Deodorant
  4. Hairbrush/Comb
  5. Shampoo & Conditioner
  6. Bar soap
  7. Razor and shaving cream
  8. Nail file/nail clippers
  9. Chapstick
  10. Towel and washcloth

The kits can be brought to the United Way in Boynton Beach Friday and Saturday.
