FORT PIERCE, FL (WFLX)--Famed rapper Vanilla Ice was supposed to have a party in Saint Lucie County Saturday at a motor sports park where he was working on a stunt for his reality show currently under production, but it has been cancelled.

Part of the problem, what he was going to do with a 1967 Cadillac Fleetwood.

"I am going to jump this thing through a ring of fire into a lake kind of like Johnny Cash and his song ring of fire," said Vanilla Ice, also known as Robert Van Winkle.

Van Winkle, who is taping a reality show which includes re-habbing homes and flipping them, says his party had reportedly gotten lots of complaints from Fire and Police officials.

"It sounds like it's really crazy, but it's all calculated. My hero is Evel Kneivel," he said.

Sealing his fate: Van Winkle going on the radio to promote the event and giving away it's location in Fort Pierce.

Apparently everyone in Saint Lucie County and surrounding areas wanted to see the stunt and code enforcement said Van Winkle needed a temporary event permit.

The rapper, who said the stunt was also going to bring awareness to his charities, says it's only a temporary cancellation.

He hopes to pull off the stunt in two weeks at another location.

"I'll go out in the middle of the country, out in Okeechobee or something and jump this thing into a pond," he said.
