Actress Rue McClanahan dies

NEW YORK (AP) - Emmy-winning actress Rue McClanahan has died.

She brought the sexually liberated Southern belle Blanche Devereaux to life on the hit TV series "The Golden Girls".

Her manager says McClanahan died early Thursday of a stroke at age 76.
