BOYNTON BEACH, FL (WFLX)-- The message on the t-shirt is straight and to the point. "BP Blows," says Wes Spicer of All-American Printing in Boynton Beach.
Spicer knows that an angry public wants to show it's disdain towards British Petroleum anyway it can, especially after being bombarded with pictures of a catastrophe the oil giant is directly responsible for.
Since he started printing the off-yellow and green t-shirts, featuring a pelican on top, he has sold, "Thousands, we haven't had time to count. I have never seen anything like it," he said.
He printed 1,000 shirts Monday alone.
But it's more than just making money off the $9.95 t-shirts for him. This cotton and ink assault is personal. "What we're hoping to accomplish is for lots of people to wear this t-shirt to keep pressure on British Petroleum to get this mess out of our back and front yards," he said.
Spicer says he plans to send the t-shirt to BP top executives including the controversial chief executive Tony Hayward.
But he's not stopping there. "Maybe we should send one to the queen," he said and then started laughing.
