WELLINGTON, FL (WFLX) - A steel beam from the World Trade Center will soon make its way to Wellington.

The 36 foot steel artifact will be the centerpiece of a Patriot Memorial which will be located at the entrance of the Town Center. The beam is expected to arrive in March after making the trip all the way from New York.

In Palm Beach Gardens, there's already a memorial honoring the victims of 9/11. It consists of two steel beams that were used to keep together the World Trade Center's North Tower.

The beams traveled 1000 miles from New York City to Fire Station #3 in the Gardens.
