House arrest over for Palm Beach billionaire

PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - A security guard remains outside the home of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. His Palm Beach mansion was quiet Tuesday but come Wednesday, his house arrest is over.

"It's the end," said attorney Spencer Kuvin. He represents three of the many alleged victims of Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein pleaded guilty to soliciting an underage girl for prostitution. He spent 13 months in jail and then the past year on house arrest.

Wednesday it ends, but according to Kuvin, not for his victims. "My clients have to live with this every day for the rest of their lives. As they grow older, they are always going to be living with this issue."

Beginning in 2005, young women started coming forward saying they were paid to perform massages and sexual acts on Jeffrey Epstein. He received what some call a "sweetheart deal" by the state, serving a short sentence.

Kuvin states "Unfortunately, I am only a civil attorney and I don't have the power to put him in jail. If I were a state attorney, would I have handled it differently? Yes, in civil court."

Epstein settled with his alleged victims out of court. The details are secret, but Spencer Kuvin says his clients got enough money to take care of their medical needs in the future. However, he says their pain will never go away.

As for rumors that Epstein might be moving to Dubai, his attorney says his client has no plans of selling his Palm Beach mansion. To that, Kuvin said "I got calls from my clients saying 'Good riddance' and they hope he does."
